Those tests are notoriously unreliable. People have spent months in jail because POWDERED SUGAR turned blue and CAT LITTER turned blue for meth and it was only after the evidence was evaluated by a real lab that all charges were dropped but lives ruined.

Their tourists Visas are up, so they try to be smart and go out of the country right next door to New Zealand for a week, then come back and expect that they will be issued another Visa! Always a red flag to customs when people pull this one, because they already know that your working! Why go back again for months if you are not??! Another man did this same thing, and when he flew back to Australia, they started in on their getting evidence of work, and they found it on him, too! He was certain (as this idiot) that he was going to get another tourist Visa, he was even lying and telling people that he received his Visa, and was going to be there for another two months!! Why is he telling people that he got another visa, when he didn’t??! I would have loved to have known what he said to them after lying and telling them that he got another one, but he didn’t!! Caught and now everyone knows he is a liar!! 🤣😂

I hope Customs knows there is more than one Chinese language. Then, without an interpreter, they keep talking to the lady in English as if she is fluent in the language. That's just ignorant. For years, these officers have had language problems with their customers, the travelers, and little to nothing seems to have been done on that account, itself endangering Australia's economy. Based on the average numbers if passengers from other nations, every shift should have 3 Chinese speaking officers, one Cantonese and two Mandarin, plus one Vietnamese speaker, French, etc.. Additionally, not only do they need more forms, they need fat notebooks of ALL the common questions they ask along with ALL the potential answers in at least 25 different languages.

It seems like Australia will send anyone home that doesn’t meet their working requirements. Working Visa, no sight seeing. Tourist Visa, no working. Business Visa, business only. If you’re not a real tourist, they send you home. Then you can’t come back for three years. It’s been illegal to work there without a permit since 1958 and they would like to keep it that way. You have to pay the Australian government money to bring cigarettes if you want to smoke. No fresh fruit or raw meat. They don’t want anyone’s diseases or problems.
